Ain Dubai
World's largest observation wheel on Bluewaters Island
Standing at 250 metres, Ain Dubai is the world's tallest observation wheel. Located on Bluewaters Island off JBR. Each rotation takes around 38 minutes with panoramic views of the Marina skyline, Palm Jumeirah, and beyond.
Jumeirah Mosque
Open to non-Muslim visitors, guided cultural tours
One of the few mosques in Dubai open to non-Muslim visitors. Guided tours run several times a week and offer genuine insight into Islamic culture and Emirati traditions. A respectful and educational experience.

Mall of the Emirates
Ski Dubai, Harvey Nichols, high-end retail
Home to Ski Dubai, Harvey Nichols, and a strong mix of high-end and high-street stores. Located in Al Barsha, it is one of the most popular malls in the city and less overwhelming than Dubai Mall.
Dubai Gold Souk (Deira)
Traditional gold market
A traditional gold market in Deira with hundreds of shops selling gold, diamonds, and precious stones. Haggling is expected. A must-visit even if you are not buying. Best visited in the evening.
Dubai Spice Souk (Deira)
Traditional spices and perfumes
Right next to the Gold Souk, the Spice Souk sells traditional spices, perfumes, incense, and dried herbs. The colours and smells are an experience in themselves.

A seasonal outdoor attraction running from October to April. Cultural pavilions from 90+ countries, street food from around the world, carnival rides, and live entertainment. Hugely popular with families.
Ibn Battuta Mall
Themed after explorer Ibn Battuta's travels
A beautifully themed mall inspired by the travels of the 14th-century explorer Ibn Battuta. Six themed courts representing China, India, Persia, Egypt, Tunisia, and Andalusia. Worth visiting for the architecture alone.
City Walk

A Meraas open-air destination in Al Safa. Boutique shops, restaurants, a cinema, and a relaxed pedestrian-friendly layout. Home to iFly Dubai and Green Planet. Great for an evening walk.

Al Qudra cycling track is 85km of flat desert road popular with cyclists at sunrise and sunset. The Dubai Cycling Track at Nad Al Sheba is another favourite. Both are car-free and well-maintained.

Outdoor yoga sessions at Kite Beach are popular during the cooler months. Rooftop yoga studios and wellness centres operate year-round across the city. A great way to start the day.

Ras Al Khaimah
1 hour from Dubai
Mountains, beaches, and the world's longest zipline on Jebel Jais (1,680 metres). A completely different landscape from Dubai. Great for hiking, camping, and outdoor adventure.
Fujairah
1.5 hours from Dubai
The east coast of the UAE with calmer, clearer waters than the Dubai side. Snorkelling at Snoopy Island, beach resorts, and a much more relaxed pace. Popular weekend escape for Dubai residents.
Hatta
1.5 hours from Dubai
A mountain exclave of Dubai with the stunning Hatta Dam, hiking trails, mountain biking, and glamping. Noticeably cooler than the city. Kayaking on the turquoise dam water is a highlight.
Al Ain
1.5 hours from Dubai
Known as the Garden City. Home to Jebel Hafeet (a mountain drive with incredible views), Al Ain Zoo, and the Al Ain Oasis (a UNESCO World Heritage Site). A quieter, greener side of the UAE.
